Acrylic Origami technique using a microwave oven.
MOR4R (Microwave Oven Recipes 4 Resins) is a technique to make an acrylic (PMMA) 3D object using common home electronic equipment, a microwave oven. Though personal fabrication is growing widely popular by the price reduction of digital fabrication tools, it still is not common. By this method, just putting properly sized susceptor sheets on a PMMA sheet, and microwaving it for about 3 minutes with 800W, the only part where the susceptor is placed becomes soft enough to bend and cut. This selective heating allows the creator to form rigid and waterproof objects at home.
